On the feast of Pope Saint John Paul the Great, Father KIA Simon called out cornerstone, capstone as the word of the day. Great call! But I believe there are interesting distinctions worth noting…and a minor correction.
..brief thoughts Fr. KIA! You are 99 and 44/100% right, just like Ivory soap. Keystones, Coverstones, Cornerstones, Capstones and Top Stones are different and have different purposes.
KEYSTONE not capstone, is the actual name of the top weight bearing stone at the apex of an arch made of stones. See the figure to the upper right…
CORNERSTONE/Capstone (as mentioned in today, Pope St John Paul the Great’s feast day reading)
“..built upon the foundation (stone, Peter) of Apostles with Christ Jesus Himself as the CAPSTONE”. Elsewhere, Jesus is referred to as the “cornerstone that the builders rejected“.

Giza WITH the 144,000 mirror bright limestone cover stones BEFORE the earthquake of ad1303 turned Giza into a Home Depot/Loews store for Arabian building builders. Over 2+ centuries, the loosened bright hard limestones were stolen for minarets and mosques.
Not often mentioned, the GodFather 4600 years ago (had) built the WORLD’S LARGEST STONE MOUNTAIN/STRUCTURE
That is, a Monument at the EXACT CENTER OF THE WORLD pointing to His Eucharistic Son’s birthplace Jews and Christians call the House of Bread (of Life) 270 miles away along the 26 degree 18minute 9.63seconds pointing vector that skirts the Middle Earth Sea (ok not Lord of the Rings, the Mediterranean). Anyone venture to guess why it is called the Middle Earth Sea, just as Giza is called the geometric pyramid though it isn’t always 4 sided, it literally means “Border (Giza translated) Fire in the Middle.” Didja know this? Knowing Fr KIA Simon knows a lot, he probably already did. Most Catholics do NOT; they miss the reality that outward signs instituted (made) by God to give grace aren’t just those mentioned in Baltimore St Joseph edition or Pope Saint John Paul the Great’s 1993 CCC.
It (hat tip Jimmy Akin) ironically ALSO points back from BethLehem to where the Holy Family spent a couple years fleeing Herod in Cairo, Egypt among the Jewish settlers who hail back to Alexander the Great days. Yes, there was a time Jews and Egyptians coexisted well near Cairo. We are almost there with the Abraham Accords helping the peace process to a time of mutual respect with Cyrus the Great’s bad boy despot King Khoumenei, the farsi NON Arabian terror master who serves the father of lies.
Mouthful but true: the world’s most measured object, the Border:Fire in the Middle 2.3 million blocks of prophetic stone, has spiritual significance to those who can see. No, not the crystal cultists but the followers of Jesus, the Eucharistic Son.
Thus I can prove: Giza is NOT primarily a 4 sided geometric pyramid. Translated, it is called “Border Fire in the Middle” and is referred to in Isaiah 19:19:20.
We know it as Giza Pyra-Midos or Giza (NOT one of the 118 couunterfeit Pharaoh Coffins strewn across the Giza plain. Giza IS the supernatural model structure that was copied imperfectly; the only “pyramid” in Egypt with passages below ground level, no dead bodies as in the King Tut ego graves of the Pharaohs’ of old…but with a mixed provenance of who it came to be.
You can’t see Giza in its pristine state today, but Egyptologists and Biblical scholars studying the Father’s Monument to His
Eucharistic Son, Jesus at one time was adorned with 144,000 casing or COVER stones, mirror bright with other miracle measurements and properties hidden inside the 2.3 million (estimated 5.5 million tons) blocks. See the artist’s rendering of Giza above, which is like a “pillar of fire” maxing out at high noon on the Spring Equinox each year. (well, except for 33AD of course when it mysteriously went pitch dark due to cross events 5 miles from Bethlehem 270 miles from the Giza on Golgotha
One ‘miracle’ astrophysical property of the Isaiah 19 monument: There is NO Shadow AT High Noon on the Spring Equinox each year (I surmise there might be still a 4 day error in the Chabad to Gregorian calendar conversions, making the equinox simultaneous with March 25th, a la Annunciation and Crucifixion simul). Also, quick study of John’s gospel, Deuteronomy and Exodus shows Friday the 13th day of Abib on the Hebrew Calendar to be the luckiest day for humanity: His Crucifixion.
Thus: according to Church tradition: day of Christ’s birth inside Mary’s womb (Annunciation) and death of Jesus is same DATE not day. More remarkable: Death day also Friday the 13th day of Abib Hebrew.
Point is, Father Simon, Giza was designed WITHOUT a top cornerstone, but a 30 sf flat square area; as the Isaiah reference states, it can be considered as an altar, as well as a pillar of fire, sits at both BOUNDARY and MIDDLE of the united Egypt after King Menes joined the two Egypts into one. AND, its prophetic nature has NOT been completed. Look to the beginning of the Isaiah chapter mentioned previously:
Isaiah 19 Verse 1: Oracle on Egypt:
“See, the LORD is riding on a swift cloud on his way to Egypt; The idols of Egypt tremble before Him, the hearts of the Egyptians melt within them.”

I contend, based on my research, Giza is mentioned cryptically in the book of Isaiah, well known for its Christ prophecies. Isaiah 19:19-20! Note, also, no where is it mentioned prophecies MUST be on Dead Sea Scrolls or ancient papyrus.
Suppose, the Father loved His Son so much eternally and foreknew AS the Eucharistic gift of Thanksgiving to the humans He would someday create: in fact, so much so, the Father caused to be built or built supernaturally with Enoch or ? (not Khufu), the Father caused to build His supernaturally designed monument: the perfect stone structure that is still off only 3 seconds of arc from the four cardinal directions; the others are mere imperfect imitations (118 Pharaoh gravesites) over time. Fr Simon, want to prove this to yourself (Fr Spitzer, my PB&J, or “physicist blind Jesuit”, where are you when needed) take your laptop or computer. 2) Google Earth Giza Pyramid 3) Zero in so the pyro midos object fills your screen 4) say “Oh my!”, it is perfectly aligned north south east and west. As it turns out the most accurate “compass” on earth off only 3 seconds of arc (out of a 360 degree or 1,296,000 seconds). Why this is important for a later time…
Granted, the emphasis in the scriptures below are mine, but imagine if they really do apply to this monument that NO ONE COULD BUILD TODAY even with megalomanipulator size equipment. Further,the cement can’t even be reproduced but science and researchers have extrapolated amazing truths about it.
Not to mention its base is 9131 inches per side or 36524 inches. Hmm. Fancy that, a true (not sidereal) solar year to five significant digits (365.24)
19 On that day there shall be an altar to the LORD at the center of Egypt, and a sacred pillar to the LORD near its boundary. 20 This will be a sign and witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt, so that when they cry out to the LORD because of their oppressors, he will send them a Savior to defend and deliver them.

But, Father KIA Simon, a conjecture: could the Lord come back in a “swift cloud” to the center of the world and pass over or even land on the altar top of the world’s largest monument in the middle (and at the Giza or border) at the appointed hour and day? That is, the true Cornerstone (this type of pyramid has five corners and Giza was designed WITHOUT the cornerstone/top capstone)
Any one with a computer or cell phone can Google this as I mentioned above; it is NOT a guarded secret of the Freemasons but “hidden” in plain sight for Catholic apologists like Patrick and Drew to find: It is only 270 miles to the House of Bread of Life, along the Christ angle built inside (26 degrees, 18minutes 9.63 seconds) that passed by the Middle Earth Sea (translate: mediterranean).
In fact, even more interesting on the Spring Equinox, if you stand ON the Giza, you could see the sun rise over Bethlehem on its way to it’s high noon highest light energy bearing down on the earth’s surface. Why? ZERO shadow.
Want MORE wow!?!: at the solstices, Summer and Winter, both at dawn and dusk, Giza appears as an
EIGHT sided object, possibly signifying Jesus (in Hebrew/ Greek, numbers are assigned to the letters; Jesus’ first name spells out 888.) Eight signifies resurrection, renewal, Renaissance and rejuvenation. Lots of examples, like the Noah 8 in the rejuvenation Ark; every 8 days is a renewal of a week. The 8th note in the major scale is a harmonic (same note) as the first, the 8th day from Palm Sunday was the resurrection after the Friday the 13th good luck for us Friday Eucharistic Lord sacrifice etc.

Plus: I believe the same 270 mile path from Giza to Bethlehem was traveled (House of Bread Bethlehem TO Cairo, Egypt) by the Holy Family; BACK to Cairo, passing the Father’s Monument to His Eucharistic Son. Godincidentally, Our Lady of Zeitoun, a suburb of Cairo, is also called the Lady of Light. OH, AND interesting: the followers of Muhammad call Bethlehem the House of Meat.

The outside layers were bound together by mortar. Primarily local limestone from the Giza Plateau was used for its construction. Other blocks were imported by boat on the Nile: white limestone from Tura for the casing, and blocks of granite from Aswan, weighing up to 80 tonnes, for the “King’s Chamber” structure.
