I am sooo humbled. Sooooo humbled. Since Donna went home early to the heavens, being a single dad has been a challenge. But, i gotta tell you this. After shooting 75 vivographic videos during Lent on stopping planned parenthood from killing kids and maiming moms, i am soooo humbled.
So many of them included single moms who have children and/or aborted; too many are battling, in silence and secret, the causatives of post-abortion trauma. Including inability to maintain relationships with males, to be two parents, doubling as a mom AND dad.
The struggles of single moms is got to be one of the most challenging in this post-Christian America we live in. We need to help in every way we can. My kids are all grown but a couple stragglers and they generously help each other; sure, there are challenges, but not compared to what a single mom and her child(ren) faces each day, before sunup to well past sundown. Everyone knows a single mom.
Some of the single moms i know include a mom of two preteens who lost a child to an abortogod a few years ago. A mom of a twenty something who has had three abortions. A beautiful talented mom with a five year old that works soooo hard to give her child the best of all worlds, and to be the best woman of God possible. A widowed mom of two amazing late teens who is in love but the “he” in him fears the “C” word as if it is cancer. I know ‘cancer’ precedes “commitment’ in the e-Dictionary, but both precede “courage” and “coward”: choose one or the other. Are you a man of valor or a wimp? Are you ready to be a part of a lady in waiting’s or exile yourself to a beer and the flat screen?
What’s with us guys? Don’t you see what beautiful women God has designed, created and delivered? Chivalry works, it is essential and it takes boys and makes ’em men. The kind of men this world desperately needs!! Three things: ‘A work to perform’, ‘challenges to champion’ and ‘a woman to love’.
Knights don’t need chain mail to qualify; just a little focused training. And Christian guys, you are much better than this: sure, Carl’s Jr. admen think men are just animals; that 18-35 hypertestosteroned demographic males will use every piece of fresh meat they comes across, but news at 11! I believe you are better than this weak marketing mentality and strong misunderstanding that Godly men ARE OUT THERE!
And…It ain’t so! Women are God’s most precious and complex creations, well designed to be a person, a being not a thing, a human essential to life and good relationships, NOT a usable OBJECT d’ ART like Nina Agdal, Miley Cyrus or Heidi Klum. A priceless human being, NOT AN OBJECT, but like your sisters and mothers, to be treated with due respect. Pope St. John Paul the Great knows the score: “Christ’ assigns to every man the (protection of the) dignity of every women”.
Just like this photo taken by a Swiss guard in St. Peter’s when JPtheGreat was shot, there are miracle women all around you. No,it isn’t photoshopped. Open your eyes, think with your brains…and hearts. Guys, help me out here. The male kind of guys: what is it about “commitment” you fear? Is it there is sooo much ‘babe bling’ available via “friends with benefits” and Carl’s Jr. commercials that you think “why commit to the kitchen since you already have access to the whole buffet?” If you are so enamored with the plumbing, get licensed and work the copper, water heaters etc. Otherwise, hands off!
These precious ladies in waiting belong to God, not you. Two words will get you the best woman in the world: “I do”. After suitable courtship. And you Christian guys, why do you keep pushing the envelope? Things like “honey, God has put us together and someday we will be married so it is okay for us to be intimate…”
Come on, the lady is trusting you to treat her right not do a full body MRI with your eyes or paw her over. Ever try the “above the neckline” approach: look her in the eyes and TALK to her, communicate. Grunts and mono syllabic hmms don’t count. What you will find out is the woman of your dreams is full of great surprises. Right in front of you. Or, at least, visible through the eyes.
While we are at it, ever give a woman, a single mom included and including post-abortive moms whose kids are in heaven, a flower or rose? Texting ILY day in day out isn’t enough unless it follows FAM: forget about me, i love you. It won’t bankrupt you; give up one super macholatte cinnamon trip double at SBucks.
No, i don’t have any floral stock; tho my favorite florist is St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face and the Little Flower of Lisieux (or St. Therese). But my belief: “Every woman deserves a flower or rose every day and moms a dozen”. Simple marching orders. Imagine a world where women are seen as specially designed, created and beautiful. Not recyclable and reusable. And florists routinely run out of product, because it is in the hands of ladies.
And BTW, a single mom got that way by one of us males: a guy. Usually, he flakes out, went abusive or died; not her fault. Of course, it takes two to tango, but come on guys, when a baby comes to daylight, her commitment becomes and begins with a ten foot “C”. She can’t just go to the mancave or hang out with the guys over a beer. It IS ok to change diapers and carry the child in a manpack up front and personal.
A smiling ear to ear Ryan comes to mind, toting the child across his chest that Therese bore a few short months ago. The excuse ruse is big: “But i don’t want to raise some other guy’s kid!?”
News for you, stud: you were another man’s kid and look how you turned out. And once married, if you believe what God teaches about the multiplication tables in Genesis, new life will be here soon enough. Raising a big bro or sis won’t kill you; it will make you stronger.
There’s only one mom in history that can’t give credit to Tom, Harry or Michael for starting the process: and Mary is the best role model for mothers today. She was a betrothed but unwed mom when being stoned to death, not putting the kid in high school day care, was in fashion. She gave her all for her Son, too. And she had a great role model for men, St. Joseph, the best foster dad in history.
So, guys, give a flower, preferably a rose to a woman today; a single mom, with one or more blessings to raise, could use kind words as well. They are NOT charity or sympathy projects: they are amazing women who face a world they didn’t create to raise children all in society will benefit from. After all, nanny governance didn’t happen overnight; someday, fatherhood will come back in fashion in the inner cities, but single momhood will not disappear by fiat.
It takes men willing to commit to “beauty with blessings”…not “friends with benefits” to help to revolutionize, chivalize and renaissance this broken world. Mother Theresa was a single mom to millions; she knew what a child, a life, a person was all about. We should do no less. And…
Talk about a great single mom!
Single moms are people, too! Those little humans are not baggage but blessings. Men, let’s act as if we believed this. We are called to “bear one another’s burdens” as Christians.
Let me paraphrase this: how about “bear one another’s blessings”.
If God would grace me with another woman to love completely, passionately and deeply, i am totally open to a single mom. She would not have to pass an age or IQ test, but have the heart for God, be open to life and love being a mom. In fact, I know Donna is praying for her right now.
A single mom is not a handicapped woman, just equipped with beings that need to be loved as well. Such is LIFE! Because life, pre and postbirth, is not to be limited to age, size and location; it is to be limited to LIVING IT OUT! Carpe diem and it IS a great day to be alive. A rose to all you single moms out there; you are not alone. We need each other. After all, today is just another great day in eternity. ~len

For 40 days, daily I visited planned parenthood’s Auschwitzesque brick building on Tustin@22fwy in Orange. Spontaneous, 75 vivographs of everyday people defending life emerged.
The most humbling thing has been meeting many beautiful and courageous mothers who have lost, for whatever reason, a child at the hands of an abortionist. The mother in crisis does NOT kill her child; the abortionist, whom i call “abortogods” did the killing.
Yes, she can take the pill of destruction; but a supposed medical professional coerces her into the step. If the mother had the full picture of what was happening, the help that is available and the future of her torment, she would run like a deer from pp.
The abortogod, he or she killed the child; she did not. Did we blame the twin’s mothers when Hitler’s Dr. Mengele’s experimented, operated and killed them? Then, don’t blame the moms in desperation. We bear the responsibility of a nation to end this. We must pray and help. And ACT!
Some, like Tanya, a mother and Beatrice, a grandmother have suffered the loss of children/grandchildren and have gone public. Others remain confidential for whatever reason a mother does. WE MUST MAINTAIN THEIR ANONYMITY for their safety.
The main reason is, unlike the slick PP marketing, abortion puts mothers at risk long after their child is gone.
Life’s issues and circumstances do NOT just go away as she is driven out the driveway, past the sidewalks of life; they must be dealt with and handled. Look what she starts out with after the worst day of her life, that of losing her child:
Physically, there is perforated uteri, damaged tissues, incontinence, inability to have another child and so much more including death. Another Tanya, Tonya Reaves died 12 hours following her child’s death July 2012: she was abandoned by PP staffers comatose, no charts, no professional med explanation at a local ER. A real hospital for healing. Not a cash and carry out mill like PP. PP is NOT a medical facility; they are a cash business that rips off everyone that walks in. Everyone.
Emotionally, mom’s issues run the gamut and the mother runs the gauntlet. Fear of discovery, shame, disgust, anger, dirty, betrayal by her man, ruined relationships are just a few. These last years~sometimes for life.
Spiritually, there are real consequences; most immediately feel a dread or sense of oppression; do not right this off, people, as “just an emotional woman’s issue”…it’s her hormones or time of the month. It is not…she has been changed for a lifetime. But hope endures.
These mothers feel spiritual remorse that idle talk betrays. She is in bondage; evil does not quit after the procedure; it tries to saddle the mother with a lifetime of regret and blame her for “killing her child”. It is not the mother’s fault. Yes, she “allowed” it. Well, if being desperate and vulnerable, handled and hustled by men, “friends”, “family”, is her fault than go ahead: revictimizer her and throw her back to the pavement. PP knows what they are doing and how to push the woman’s buttons. Give her a break: hope for the future and a chance at healing. Plus the dads/husbands, grandparents, abortion workers ALL need to come to God. He is waiting with open, merciful, forgiving arms.
Abortion does NOT happen in a vacuum either: there are a boat load of life issues that surround the death of the child that are not cured.
And frankly, it’s none of our business the whys; we all make mistakes. Aborted moms need love, kindness, compassionate and patient help. The how for healing is below and much more important.
Moms instinctively know it’s a child…someday. Some know it the same day they lose her or him. Others it is revealed in a dream or even seeing a stroller with a young child will set her off. These are not blobs, even if after 12 years of schooling an abortogod (a false god who chooses who and when to kill or let live) claims they are sub or non-human.
What a fool he must be; must have got “F’s” on his -ology classes. Things like fetology, embryology, anatomy, physiology, biology…even maternity. But, God even desires the salvation of men and women, in California doctors, nurses and midwives, who kill His children. He wants all to live forever happily.
Imagine this: God sent us letters explaining when a kid is a kid. He called out Jeremiah this way: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I dedicated you.” Jer 1: 5-6.
God knows ALL the circumstances that yield a pregnancy and still allows us to exercise free will; He doesn’t cede His power, though. Look at the most famous unwed mother who could have been stoned: the Virgin Mary. “When (her cousin) Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb…” Blobs don’t leap, products of conception do not suck their thumb or breathe (yes, preborns breathe). Elizabeth continued: “Most blessed are you among women (Mary). and BLESSED IS THE FRUIT of your womb.
A mother is a blessing, a woman is a gift. Men, we mess up. Chivalry is arising; like God, it is NOT dead. Even and especially in a boy toy world of porn and objectified sex, familial destruction, there is hope. Soon to be saint John Paul the Great said it perfectly:

Guys, it is OUR responsibility to protect her. Defend her dignity. Who? Every woman. And, please be a man, don’t pull the “Eve made me eat it” routine.
Aborted mothers need love, counseling, help, patient listening and good counseling. The kind that Becky & her team confidentially provides through the OC branch of Project Rachel known as Hope and Healing at 800-722-4356. Becky and her team long have been a defender of women; she helps intercede for rape victims at hospitals.
Here is the insidious truth: Every woman is violated, every aborted woman was raped by the abortionist since he or she is not practicing medicine. She was “groomed” to that moment: horrible and inadequate counseling, lies after lies.
How can sticking knives inside a woman to kill a kid or lethal injecting poison into a six month (same age as John in Elizabeth’s womb who leaped for join) child be considered good medicine? It is a tax payer supported cash and carry out business. Nothing more.
And don’t give me this rot they do mammograms; Dr. Joel Brind, China and Indian studies prove a direct, causal and logical link between abortion and latent breast cancer.
All planned parenthood does is create another product and service to make money on: referring out for screening for the disease THEY CREATE in the first place. That’s like rewarding the firemen for putting out the arson fire they set in the first place.
Every abortive mother needs help, not to mention their co-dependent enablers…and handlers. They so often desire intensely to pay for their “sins”, make up and repair by reparation, and help other women not make the same mistake. Very commendable but if this is out of control, the abortive mother can “revictimize’ herself, by becoming so obsessive that she cannot move into a better place in her life. I have suffered personally this type of “messiah” gotta save the world complex too often.
I am so humbled by one courageous, smart and beautiful woman who is suffering through this, that i wrote a song to underscore what really goes on between mother and child…if only mom gets the chance to listen to her heart. With her permission, some day that song will be available to show post-abortive mothers the truth. But not until that time it is prudent.
Other than the rare Tanya and Beatrice, total confidentiality is a MUST to protect both the mother AND her family. And frankly, even when they feel the need to come forward, it may not be the best for them to speak out too soon; they have the hope but need the healing. Unfortunately, so many people can be insensitive and cruel to a post-abortive woman precisely when she needs the help and healing the most
Abortion solves nothing; it only increases the vacation fund of abortogods, who need to know the truth, repent and start doing real medicine. 11 year old Dr. Isaac already proved with little medical training that something that swims and moves like a baby, sucks her thumb like a baby and silently screams like a baby when facing medical grade assault weapons that have killed 1000 million so far. Is a baby. Not a blob, choice or convenience. There is absolute proof a mother connects early on, if not immediately after conception. It’s more than hormones and emotional ties: God designed her that way, with instincts to love and protect. And serve.
God does NOT want vulnerable, post-abortive mothers to carry 1000 pound ankle balls through life. He, the Divine Mercy, wants people to step in. Each life is different; each woman’s circumstances. Each solution is different.
It really tears my heart thinking what a mom must go through; there is little relief at the loss of a child. Male pressure, false expectations appearing real (acronym for FEAR), concern for abnormalities, wrong sex of the child, financial pressures etc. The reason doesn’t ease the pain, nor bring him or her back. Results include dysfunctional relationships, better chance of not bonding and divorce, inability to have children, depression.
Bishop Kevin, the ordinary of the diocese of Orange has held more preemies in his HAND, singular, than I have held eleven brand newbies minutes after birth in two.
You might think it is an obsession being prolife for me. Well, if fighting for the moms and their kids is obsession, count me in. And if defending and helping post abortive mothers is obsessive squared, count me in twice. Someone needs to because this is not going away. It is not a wart to excise or a cold to get through. It is life for millions. Uhm, based on LifeNew’s recent report, billions.
As of April 2014, latest estimate is 1720 million or 1.72 billion. Adjust for multiples, you have the largest victim group in history that needs help today. What, maybe 700 million living mothers (minus those killed on the table)

EVERYONE born since 1973 is missing one third of their friends and families. The death of this one third of humanity is a dying business and line the pockets of planned parenthood and Abort Inc. They are dead. Which means one in three women in the stores, at work and school, IN THE CHURCHES, are post-abortive. And need help. They walk and live among us; and we with them.

One stat says 25% of aborted kids are Catholic; which means 25% have Catholic moms. Our churches and schools must realize this is not going away. If we shut down every PP in America today, we have a whole gen, millions of moms living with their loss, mostly in secret, for life. They need not grieve alone. Every abortion has consequences: 50% of the customers are dead, plus a few moms. Every adult customer (this is not medicine, folks) lives with the emotional, spiritual and way too often, serious physical effects of abortion.

It doesn’t matter if it happened at seven weeks or seven months, there is an eternal connection between mother and child. Size has NOTHING to do with it.
Abortion is cosmetic surgery of the heart, soul and spirit of two beings. It is disingenuous and flippant for people to slough it off, like “oh get over it” as if abortion is a tummy tuck, breast reduction or hang nail removal. It is a life taken at will; the most powerful force in the universe (far outstripping the three major physics forces) is the bond between a mother and child. It is like breaking the bond of an atom when it happens to a mom, millions of times a year, worldwide a million a week are killed by this evil.
Don’t suffer in silence; like the picture sculpture shows, your child has already forgiven you. For Catholics, confession is available to start the process but you need another human to walk this path with you. Call 800-722-4356 and leave a confidential message if you go to voicemail. Moms, like many, i have fought for women’s rights for years. The right to a joy-filled life and not be abused, the right to seek help, the right to wholeness. The right to be loved. The right to chivalrous men. We can work on this last one for i will never conceive a child.
Good news: Every mother can be restored in time. Everyone. Nothing is beyond God’s power to remedy. With good care and lots of considerate people in a mother’s life.
31 months ago on the 9th, Donna returned to heaven. I guess i have real sympathy pains for aborted moms. I suffered while watching her suffer for nine months, trying everything to get her healed; i was more stubborn than she, because she knew the spiritual healing came midyear, but the physical healing was not to be.
But an abortive mother suffers all of her life at different levels, physical, emotional and spiritual; all we can do is provide encouragement, solace, silence, listening, love…and get her free help. Abortion is hell’s answer to creation and life. How much longer must we serve hell’s managers? How many more Tonya Reaves must die, abandoned at the ER by planned parenthood Chicago hours after killing her Emanuel child, comatose and without med charts or explanations?
I will ask Donna, the consummate mother, to pray for each and every one of you: you know whom you are. Don’t suffer alone; if you know someone, give them the number. I gave it out today to someone who needed it; so should you.
Men,please join me in becoming better about and sensitive to this megapandemic need. Close to a billion worldwide women suffer in silence needlessly.
I for one will not abandon, nor desert, someone who needs our help. Post-abortive mothers are women, uniquely and most complexly created for great purposes by a Divinely Merciful God. Let us act accordingly.
On some occasions, I save some of the soil from the graeside when a friend or loved one is buried and at least a year into the future, i present them with a tiny small garden using it. Not to be morbid, but a reminder of the fact they may be gone but they are still important parts of our lives. Sometimes i do the same for women facing this silent and debilitating suffering, find in some physical way that their child is still precious, in heaven. And that they, the mother for life of this little life, are important too.
Who will speak up for the little ones and their mothers in grief? I, for one; won’t you?

Two anniversaries. The modern Eucharistic miracle Terri Schindler Schiavo was murdered on March 31st, 2005 systematically starved and dehydrated to death by the American death culture.
What you may not know is God had the last word: He overshadowed the necromancers partying with(almost St.) now Pope Saint John Paul the Great’s end of life.
God would not let the systemic killing of one of His Catholic princesses go unanswered.
The beloved daughter who just couldn’t talk
If you check Zenit and adjust for time zones, almost simultaneous to Terri’s death, Pope St John Paul the Great’s health took an unexpected and serious turn. He died on April 2nd, 2005 on the feast he loved so much: Divine Mercy. There are no coincidences in salvation history’s continued unfolding
Think about this: after sundown that Saturday, after the end of the Mass on his fave feast day, he said his last word and went heavenward. (Divine Mercy vigil).
But, amazing truth: The incredible outpouring for this Pope-Saint for the ages put the sick, demonic Terri’s killers’ celebration on ice. Forever, God inextricably linked the two Catholics. The first, as a slave (Irony: Italian for slave is ‘schiavo’) and a rescuer (recall Oskar Schindler, Margaret Sanger and Hitler’s nemesis in WWII) Schindler.
Like the Christians waited until for Aug 15, 944 to place the Holy Shroud of Jerusalem/Edessa/Turin on the Divine mercy seat inside Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, it is as if JPtheGreat waited, or God aided him keeping him alive, until his

I met with the Schindlers for 20 minutes in Anaheim at a conference a few years ago; the media was diabolically wrong.
Mom and dad Schindler offered the husband/son-in-law, the million dollars to let them take their living, breathing daughter home. Just as in Nov 2023, baby Indi’s treatment, the UK wants the baby dead even though Italy has made the child a citizen and the Vatican pediatric hospital will treat Indi for free.
Recall, Terri was breathing and only needed assistance in eating. She was, like a caged animal, denied ALL food and water…but God interceded in His usual living sacramental symbolic ways.
Angels around us when the Eucharist happens, and Holy Communion is given to the faithful
EXCEPT three times, Fr. Pavone gave her a tiny morsel of the Eternal Food on her tongue: the Source and Summit of our faith, Holy Communion, the Bread of Life from the House of Bread of Life.
It’s as if what Mrs. Delehoy called “angels around us…”, God protected Terri divinely to show He is in control; no one lives without water and food 13 days, especially if you are already depleted, without divine help.
The Eucharist, only nutrition source. Note, Terri lived 13 days on only this. No water, no other food. Godincidence? Mary arrived 6 times on the 13ths at Fatima. Maybe to honor her Son, who died (on the Hebrew calendar) on Friday the 13th day of the Hebrew month Abib/Nisan. You can discover this yourself via John’s Gospel and two OT books that single out that death just shy of a special Passover Saturday.
I believe, to this day, Terri is a true Eucharistic miracle, like Lanciano and the other examples of heaven intersecting time and earthly space; just like the Giza Pyramid points directly 270 miles to the birthplace of the true Eucharistic Miracle along the Christ Angel since four millenia ago: Beth’Lehem or House of Bread of Life. She was no accident.
Scholars believe it was a bit of Scientology, the death culture JPtheGreat called it, mixed with oppression that led to this fiasco. But God’s glory shown forth. You don’t kill a woman in full view of the world, a president, his brother and others fighting for mercy, without help from hell’s kitchen.
Please remember the Schindler family. Pray for the redemption of Michael Schiavo. Stay involved in defending and saving life. Paul tells us we battle not with each other but the “principalities and powers of the darkness”Be a light in the darkness; even a tiny flame shatters it. We tend to think science is up here and religion over there. But, is it science to be able to count how many summers one has lived, thus revealing we are 14 or 94…or in Noah’s time, 600 years then 350 years after the flood. A lot a man can do in 950 years.
Len, you are nuts, no one could live that long the bible is just allegory.
Well, i may well be nuts, but is the Bible allegory when it says “I am the way, the truth and the life” or “Come follow me”? The Bible is many things, it is a history book, a science text, a family generational recorder, filled with Jesus’ parables, lots of death and violence~ and joy.
If the Genesis geneologies were estimates, then they would be round numbers like 300, 900, 1000 years. Not 777 (Vegas special), 482, 969 (wow!) etc. The strangest thing: the ancients were smart enough to count summers and record ages. Go figure that we doubt this and write it off to odd number estimates.
Scientifically, using the scientific method of observation and good record keeping, the average lifespan before the flood was 907.5 years. After the flood, through Abraham without Noah’s span (he lived long before AND after, skewing the numbers), it was 299.5 years. 1/3 as long. Methuselah is the oldest recorded (969 years) and he died just before the Ark was buttoned up. 969 would be the oddest even generalized approximate nmber…ever.
Noah was Adam 1 1/2; the second Adam of course is Jesus. But, it is a great story to look into.

Joe Sullivan is a great and gentle man who serves at St. Bonaventure; he lost his adult son five years ago and continues to reach out and help violated women and the preborn.
Ruth Rozak does what she does for 30 years and comes back for more, helping those in need. Rita, 90 years young doesn’t mind people knowing how old she is. What i mind is plenty of people younger than 90, in their 20s and 30s, who have lost one third of their friends, neighbors and family still don’t get it.
One great lady who not only doesn’t care who knows her age but gets it, is Adriana. The largest target group is not blacks, who are slipping from 12% of the American population to 11% as we breathe under Sharpton/Jackson/Dr. OB,AMA spokesmodel policies. I will care more about the endless social justice debate regarding immigration, the environment etc. ONCE we realize social justice begins in the womb, including those fighting to get in or stay in. Think about it: we can debate poverty and injustice, while planned parenthoodlums calmly and quietly kill off preborn immigrants by the millions. A dead mother and child can’t sneak across the border, nor can a maimed mother care for her other children whichever country she resides in. Work for sound social justice, but don’t neglect the poor mothers today.

The larger question should be “Who will take care of the very aged?” those who chose one or no kids when society breaks down, Obamacare has bankrupted the world’s best health care system? When you systematically destroy the next generation, you by design or inadvertently injure the current. Drastically. 35 million more boys than Chinese girls come to mind, for example. Do the hegemonic/military math on that one.

Reader, reread this above. She is evidencing the reality: women are NEVER free from abortion. NEVER. The healing begins, and she has “beenthere” syndrome, important superior knowledge based on experience that will save lives~~other women’s lives.
There is a reason so many dysfunctional relationships happen, divorce is high, guys are clueless, women are fractured. Millions have aborted; millions continue like functioning abortee zombies to live less than optimum lives. They ALL need post-abortion counseling. Post traumatic stress syndrome repair for the mothers who know, in their hearts, their child died.

My greatest prayer is that every one of us will be happy forever. Because in forever, all this will be a dim memory. A trillion or so years from now, which will be like a moment leading into the next trillion. We are doing triage, saving the least and the lost as often as we have the heart and will to get off the sidelines and onto the sidewalks of life. Note Bene: Our physical birthdays are really SECONDARY in establishing life to the day of conception, as God and Gabriel proclaim. God said it; we need to believe it. We are nine months old when we are born and have a great life to look forward to!
Mary, an unwed mom was told by God’s messenger, Gabriel, she was soon to be the mother of the Son of the Most High God. Not your everyday greeting after a cup of Starbucks or cereal in the morn…even if it is a latte supremo le grande magna supremissimo.
Mary, in her direct way, asked Gabriel: “How can I have a kid; i haven’t had sex with Joseph?” (paraphrased, of course). She was honest; she behaved herself during her engagement, like all of us should though we fail on occasion in our culture; and Joseph, the consummate chivalrous gentleman did as well.
Gabriel tells her the “Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you” Wow!
Then Gabriel tells her about another miracle, that her barren cousin Elizabeth was six months along! “Nothing is impossible with God”! We MUST believe this, that God is the Possible; and there is always room for forgiveness (FORGIVEbFOREGIVEN) and reconciliation and life. The Eucharist is available like a good confessor EVERY day. Don’t miss out…
Mary, the servant, said: “I am His handmaiden; whatever He wants, let it be done!” She knew it would not be easy, but she was willing. And she would always be a virgin, never know the intimacy of her future husband, Joseph. Out of choice, not as slave. What sacrifice; but for the greater good of being the Mother of God. I know, you are thinking: God is a hard act to follow, but Mary and Joseph were satisfied.
For the rest of us not in the consecrated life, marriage is an incredible life. Donna trained me well on how to be a good husband before she went heavenward too early over 30 months ago. Someday i hope God graces me with another incredible and beautiful lady, but that is His call. And her call, as well.
I hate hate this about how sex has been cheapened, by our culture, and turned into a playground toy “sex play” by planned parenthood and robbed of its excitement, joy, fun and intimacy, reserved for a one man-one woman-one God marriage, where it is sooooooo incredible. And, here comes my politically incorrect but very loving comment: man with man sex and woman with woman sex is not sex, it is mutual pleasuring without any hope of true intimacy and gratification. Mirrored physical “selfies” is not how we were designed. Mary knew this, Joseph accepted this. We Catholics accept and love those who are attracted same sex, but draw the line at ANY extra-marital sex as being a good thing(one man, one woman, one God): whether adult or teen, tall or short, etc.
There is a way: you gotta get married to find out just how awesome it is. But, don’t settle for second best, Ladies, because you control the conditions of unconditional love. Not us guys. You have the key to his–and your–happiness. Keep the key safely hidden. There will be plenty of time to use the key; remember, God is timeless and true love is the same.
Settle for only whom God has for you. Ladies and guys, you don’t need to test the plumbing, or live together to see if you are compatible.
Shhh. Come closer, listen to a little secret: you were designed to have great sex, but not before the wedding vows. You will see some day, I promise. Don’t blow your chance for the best relationship a man and woman can ever have. Yes, secondary virginity is real but it has challenges those who remain chaste don’t.
For example, coming to the Beckman “ranch”, i have two couples (that’s four for the math challenged), all virgins btw, for a night of reflection. They hail from my days as director at Holy Family Cathedral; they are great young people and in the 180 day window before vows is here for both weddings: in fact, maids/matron of honor at each other’s wedding.
A great night of good, will happen. They have an amazing wedding night coming; but more important, a great wedding life before them. Prayers for Katie and Derek, Jessica and Michael. Pray that God will use me and those sharing that evening. Being prolife is a POSITIVE and great thing. We don’t need to let those that kill children ruin it for the rest of us.
My vision is simple: every woman should receive a rose or flower every day for the rest of their lives. Guys, help me out here. I can’t do it alone.
But, in marriage, men, MEN, got your attention, my future wife will receive breakfast in bed every day. YES!!
Every day, except Feb 29th in non-leap years. Every day. She will be massively loved, and cared for, she will be intensely happy. When she is pregnant, you double the flower power. My future wife will get two a day. When she has a child, she will be pampered even more. That will be easy, with so many doting aunts and uncles on both sides. But, she will know that she no longer is just a princess of the King of Kings: she is my queen and will receive appropriate treatment any of Mary’s daughters on earth deserve. Men, get with the program.
Thanks to Donna, i have learned how to love a woman, really love her. And YES! I know she is praying for my future spouse; weird? No, God’s plan. That mystical thing that happened for Lauren, one of my leaders, eight days after she passed over, pointed me to this fact.
Until “death do us part” even for those He takes home young, like Donna. And still, I am sooo clueless about the most complex created beings in the known universe: womanhood. But, the good news is: so are all guys.
We covenant Catholic men MUST just try to be the best at making her know and feel that she is the most important woman of the womanhood universe.
Joseph did the same for Mary, even though he was the foster spouse of the Godhead and the foster dad of our Saviour. Not a bad role, yes!

Mary’s physical characteristics were reflected in the Son of God, just as the divine characteristics, and His Image, is reflected from the Godhead. Wow! Just how amazing is that!! This is the same for mothers and child; it is more than a body connect, their hearts become entwined, though the bodies develop SEPARATELY. It is more than just tissue; it is an irretreivable, irreplaceable human.
In a song i wrote, called “Kelli’s Song: She still has her mother’s heart” the chorus tells the story of the human meeting the divine:
“It takes three to marry (a Catholic wedding), and two to love (marital love) as two become as one. This mystery for ages past is measured through the Son (all history is His Story). The Father’s Love the Spirit’s joy to Mary did impart (the Incarnation).
The Son sees the world through the Father’s eyes, but has His mother’s heart.” Chew on that, readers.
This last is sooo important. Jesus saw and lived His life through His heavenly Father’s eyes, especially the last three years.
He knew, as March 25 (or April 6th in the Eastern church) is celebrated, He was born to die. We celebrate His real birth, the day He was conceived, on the same day we honor His death. In the Hebrew calendar, it was Friday the 13th day of Nisan leading into the 14th and His resurrection on the 15th; why do we celebrate Mary’s assumption on the 15th? Hmm. Is this why Friday the 13th is unlucky? Unlucky for whom? The demons? Because of Friday the 13th, which is March 25 on our calendar, we will live FOREVER happily if we follow Christ. Help each other, lead each other to Christ.
But, Jesus had/has His unwed mother’s heart; He saw and still sees the world with her boundless human compassion; she focuses us, as Queen of Heaven, on her Son, even taking time to visit us and refocus us, like at Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, Good Success in Quito, Ecuador, etc.
